Prior to approval for your study being issued, an assessment will determine the requirements for regulatory bodies review. All applicants are advised to contact the RIC team early in the process to obtain the correct advice. Depending on your type of study and procedures, you must have one or more regulatory approval in place. These approvals can be sought via Integrated Research Application System (IRAS) which streamlines the application process for the following review bodies:
- Administration of Radioactive Substances Advisory Committee (ARSAC)
- Gene Therapy Advisory Committee (GTAC)
- Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
- NRES/ NHS / HSC Research Ethics Committees
- Confidentiality Advisory Group (CAG)
- National Offender Management Service (NOMS)
- Social Care Research Ethics Committee
