Management of all acute and chronic shoulder and elbow conditions, including complex revision and reconstructive surgery.

Mr Majed specialises only in shoulder and elbow conditions and is an expert in the management of all acute and chronic shoulder and elbow conditions, including complex revision and reconstructive surgery. His practice encompasses all aspects of open and arthroscopic, keyhole, surgery. He works closely with therapists to ensure the best outcomes for his patients. He strongly believes in open and transparent clinical practice and spends time with his patients to ensure information is delivered in an understandable and useful manner, to allow patients to decide on their care.

Mr Majed routinely performs procedures for common shoulder conditions as well as routinely undertaking complex revision shoulder and elbow procedures for infection, loosening and peri-prosthetic fracture. He works closely with therapists and allied health professionals, in a multi-disciplinary team, managing complex atraumatic shoulder instability, both surgically and non-surgically. He accepts referrals for the management of trauma conditions and post-trauma complications. Furthermore, he manages complex shoulder girdle pain and neuromuscular conditions.

Mr Majed is dedicated to providing the most up to date evidence-based medical practice. He is committed to ongoing clinical and basic science research and has published over 30 papers and has over 50 presentations nationally and internationally. During his training as an orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Majed dedicated time to undertake postgraduate research at Imperial College London, supervised by Professor Roger Emery and Professor Anthony Bull, achieving a Medical Doctorate, MD, based on his internationally recognised work into proximal humeral fractures. He is undertaking numerous clinical studies at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and holds a post on the Research Committee for the British and Elbow Society. Mr Majed has acted in an education and advisory role to the international groups AO and EFORT/SECEC. Clinical outcome is a key aspect of Mr Majed's practice and he is an advocate of using PROMS (patient reported outcome measures) data to support clinical practice.

He trained at St Mary's Hospital Medical School, Imperial College London achieving a BSc in Neuroscience as well as his basic medical qualifications, MBBS.
